DCM presents Sasha Rose and Bass Nymph

DCM is excited to welcome back Sasha Rose, a multi-talented Canadian singer/songwriter, musician, DJ and producer. Her performances flow from world beat grooves to tribal rhythms to downtempo dance dub to ecstatic inspirational ascensions to higher realms. Sasha has released two solo acoustic albums and has recorded vocals on over 30 projects including Random Rab, Tina Malia, and Mimosa to name a few. In her musical production, Sasha creates luscious soundscapes and thick bass lines bridged by her soulful, angelic voice and a variety of live instrumentation. Bass Nymph will open with a journey through mystic dreamscapes that harmoniously fusing genres of grime, garage, drum n bass, dubstep, breaks and 808bass.

$15 cash only. All ages. No drugs/alcohol on church property.
Intentional, no talking dance space. Kids under 14 are free.

Sasha Rose Bio

As a multi-talented singer/songwriter, musician, DJ and producer born into a musical family, Sasha Rose started learning guitar, flute, African djembe and piano at age 5. She got her first taste of International stardom at age 10 while touring Europe as a member of a children’s chamber choir. From age 16, she began an extensive professional solo-touring career, which took her through the U.S., Australia, Canada and Europe. She has performed as a member or guest of many acts including Freedom Tribe, Prezident Brown, Hamsa Lila, the Funginears, Shimshai, Tina Malia, Goddess Alchemy Project, Random Rab, Anasia, J. Boogie, Vibesquad, Mimosa, Eoto, Lynx,Janover, Everyone Orchestra and others. In 2009, she performed in a choir backing Joan Baez. In 2011, she became a central member of the collective Liberation Movement, a collaborative project with Resurrector of Heavyweight Dub Champion and Shipibo Shamans from the Peruvian Amazon.

Starting in 2009, Sasha became a DJ for Ecstatic Dance and Ecstatic Dance styled events throughout California and beyond. She has performed at over 50 such dances including multiple appearances at Ecstatic Dance, Mass Transit, Dance Journey, Big Island Ecstatic Dance camp, and others. Her popularity with the spiritually focused dance crowd comes from her unique hybridization of original production featuring her celestial vocals with carefully selected inspirational dance tracks from various artists. Bass Nymph Bio

Dancing you from the depths of the ocean then sky high to evaporate with the clouds in the bright shining sun. Harmoniously, she fuses genres of grime, garage, drum n bass, dubstep, breaks and 808bass. Projecting our beautiful emotions outside of our minds into the physical reality, we are able to dance into the ethers. Affiliations: Destination Jungle Maui, Abysmal Entities Archive and Sub.Mission Hawaii. Bass Nymph has shared the stage with Thriftworks, Roommate, Dillard, Amani (Desert Dwellers), Calculon, Stitch Jones, Jaybee, Marcus Visionary, Alex Incyde, Bird of Prey, Bumble and Mim0sa. About Dance Church Maui

An alcohol/drug-free event that welcomes all ages to its dance floor for the sacred expression of dance. The group that organizes this event is non/all denominational, without any direct connection to any religious or political affiliation. The container that is created is designed to allow freedom of dance expression that is liberating, heart-opening, communal and uniquely self-expressive. We have our own QSC/JBL sound system that provides surround sound with 6 tops and 4 subs.
